What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your browser. It can remember a choice, keep a session together, or help a measurement tool recognize a return visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can do the same job. On this site, your cookie choice is kept in local storage under the name yuenao_cookie.
How we group them
Essential cookies remember that you have answered the banner. The site can function with only these. Analytics cookies help us see which notes are read. Advertising cookies help measure visits that come from Google Ads. Analytics and advertising cookies wait until you choose “Allow all.”
Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| yuenao_cookie | yuenao.com | Stores your essential-only or allow-all choice | Until you clear site data |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors for visit statistics, only after consent | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for analytics, only after consent | Up to 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures ad visits, only after consent | Up to 90 days |
How to change your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer to see the banner again. You can also block or delete cookies in the browser:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings, Privacy
Blocking essential storage will make the banner return on later visits. Google’s own descriptions are at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Changes
If the cookie list changes, the new list will be posted on this page with a new date.
